I have a friend who decided to train and go to work as a technician for a windmill company. He says he wants to make a difference in the world and working in a green field is making his dream comes true. He even has a t-shirt that proclaims that he is "Green Man."
He drives a huge gas guzzling heavy duty pick up truck to work each day. He has modified the truck to burn even more gas. One day, he told me he would give me a tour if I would drop by. I called him and told him I would be over in a few minutes. He said he would wait for me outside the first big windmill closest to the street.
When I drove up to the windmill, he was sitting on the steps smoking a cigarette. Now, I don't know about you but driving a gas guzzler and smoking do into seem like making a difference in the world. Maybe I am making too much of it all. I figure he looks on it like the huge corporations who rape the environment but feel good about the environment by buying carbon credits.
What do you say? I would like to know.
