One of the easiest ways to go green is to fix those leaky faucets. Usually all you have to do to fix the leak is to turn off the water under the sink, loosen the faucet and change out the o-ring. Did you know that a leaky faucet that is dripping at a rate of one drop per second actually wastes up to 165 gallons per month. That is a lot of water that is just going down the drain.Did you know that the average American uses 80 to 100 gallons of water each day while 2/3 of the rest of the world only uses 13 gallons. A dripping faucet can add up to over 5 gallons a day of wasted water. Can you see how wasteful this is and how fixing it would make you more green? I hope so and I would love to keep talking about it but I just found a leaky faucet and I have to go fix it.
